Cycling for All

Just about everybody can take part in cycling – with the right equipment a disability need not stop you enjoying being out and about.Cycling can have huge advantages for the disabled, as well as the physical benefits, it can also offer great independent mobility.

Organisations like Cycling Projects provide opportunities for everyone to take part. Part of their work is a project called Wheels for All which encourages disabled people of all ages to have a go at cycling by offering a range of bikes.  Find out more about Wheels for All in Lancaster here….

Local training and recyling organisation Pedal Power offer a variery of ways to make cycling more accessible including:

 – Adult stabilisers to fit virtaully any adult cycle

 – Trike adaptor kits – a way of turning 2 wheels into 3 for 20” & 26” wheeled bikes
