Purple Pedals

 

The Cycling Demonstration Town Team have taken delivery of 2 Yahoo! Purple Pedals bikes for use throughout June 2009. The adapted Electra Townie bikes are equipped with a solar-powered camera and GPS receiver which uploads photos every 60 seconds to a Flickr stream. The concept behind the Purple Pedals project is to merge the idea of using a bike to explore and a camera to document these explorations and share them with the world.
