party on the promCome and join in the Cycling Fun in 2010 on Sunday May 9th from 11am - 3pm by the Dome.

It’s now been three years since Morecambe promenade was officially opened up to cyclists - and people have been making the most of it - in 2009 over 90,000 cycle trips took place on the promenade.

There will be lots to see and do for the whole family:

get your bike fixed for free by Dr Bike

visit the big yellow DHL truck for advice on interaction between cyclists and HGVs   (DHL recognises the importance of helping to train cyclists in the dangers associated when cyclists interact with large goods vehicles. By providing an articulated vehicle and a trained demonstrator members of the public can fully understand the size, weight and danger of ignoring this hazard. We help explain the risks involved and how to keep yourself safer when cycling near or around a moving LGV. You can also get to see 'what the driver will see' when sat in the drivers seat)

advice and security bike coding from the local Police

make your own smoothie using pedal power or race against the clock on the compu trainer
