Twenty Club
Thursday 18th June saw the first ride of the Twenty Club - Lancaster's new bike club. This is an informal meeting of cyclists who want to go on a slightly more challenging ride locally (approx twenty miles). First route tbc shortly. Subsequent routes to be determined and led by the group.
All welcome. Please note that these are not led rides - cyclists ride at their own risk.

Women on Wheels
A programme of rides from March to October - on the first Sunday of every month. These interesting rides will follow routes from our Cycling for All Guide (call 01524 582086 or your copy or download here).
The rides aim to encourage all women - whatever their ability - to get out and about with other like-minded women and explore our area by bike.
All rides start at the Millennium Bridge (south end) at 11am. No need to book - just turn up!

Cog Set / Go Ride
2010 sessions recommence Saturday March 27th
The Salt Ayre Cog Set, Lancaster’s cycling club for young people, runs weekly sessions on Saturdays at Salt Ayre Sports Centre at 10am. The club is suitable for all youngsters between the ages of eight and 16.
For the price of a can of fizzy pop and a chocolate bar, children can keep fit and healthy in a safe environment. The sessions will focus on essential bike handling skills for riding both on and off road.

Active Woods is a national drive by the Forestry Commission to promote the vast range of health and fitness opportunities offered by Britain’s woodlands.
Hundreds of events are being organised across England such as welly activity days, den-building competitions and dog walks, reflecting the campaign’s three themes of naturally active, naturally stimulating and naturally relaxing.
A community cycling project based in North Lancs/South Cumbria to encourage more people to cycle. They run regular events as well as having bikes and family cycling equipment to borrow.
