was really exciting. It was great fun and you can even borrow a bicycle for the session, so there really is no excuse not to give

Comments on / photos of some 2009 Rides

Sunday June 7th - Carnforth
Wow June 200919 riders on this ride (plus 2 ride leaders - including one on a Yahoo purple pedal bike).

A nice relaxing ride along Lancaster Canal followed by a delicious lunch at the cafe in Carnforth Railway Station - www.carnforthstation.co.uk/.

Followed by a rather slower ride back the way we came.

Sunday May 3rd - Sunderland
A fantastic 21 riders turned up for the 3rd ride this year to the pretty village of Sunderland. Although due to our collective failure to sort a very flat tyre, 2 riders were delayed but did a great job in catching us up.

Luckily the threatened 1pm downpour failed to arrive - and except for a few minutes of rain on arrival in Sunderland the weather was pretty good, if a bit windy.

It was great to see so many women turn up and enjoy a slightly more different ride. The only downside being that a few motorists just can't seem to tolerate cyclists using local roads, and show their displeasure and/or impatience by beeping or passing too close.
