Cycling Projects Fund
More cash up for grabs in 2007/8
We're once again asking local groups & communities to come up with ideas that will help boost cycling in the District. As a Cycling Demonstration Town we're receiving funding to show how increased investment can encourage more cyclists to get on their bikes. Our project - with the vision of a cycle friendly city, coast and countryside - has an aim to double cycling levels within the district by 2008.
To achieve this, the Cycling Demonstration Town Project seeks to encourage as much community involvement as possible and a fund of around £10,000 for 2007/08 has been allocated to spend on a range of small locally based cycling projects.
Bids for grants (up to a maximum of £1,500) are open to all groups within the Lancaster district. Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 23rd March.
